The receiver IC consists of 4 mA current source for the IR LED. The gate driver IC consists of a 350 mA sink current driver. The IrLED current source and IR LED current sink are connected together via a multiplexer. The devices also have a built-in four-bit encoder which provides an output signal of up to 4 bytes. The ISL4489EIBZ-T is designed to support the SIR protocol.
