The ISL6253EVAL1Z board and kit uses a four-axis sensor that can detect motion, tilt, and free-fall events. The sensor is connected to a host processor via two-wire I2C communications. The Intersil ICs integrated on the board and kit is used to detect three-axis acceleration, and a free-fall detector is included on the board and kit to detect a free-falling event.The motion sensor is capable of detecting up to four axes of motion. The sensor can measure velocity and direction of motion, and can also detect if an object is moving at an angle to the mounting surface.
