The ISL6721EVAL3Z evaluation board is a versatile platform that provides accurate measurement and evaluation of the ISL6721/2 family of devices - DC/DC and AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS. The board has all the components required to evaluate voltage and current ratings of the ISL6721/2 family. Additionally, it can be used to evaluate the device’s features, such as, valley/peak current mode control, symbol tracking control, temperature protection, dual-mode operation, pre-bias start-up, and under-voltage lockout. With the use of the board, engineers and designers are able to accurately and quickly evaluate the performance of the ISL6721/2 family of devices.
The ISL6721EVAL3Z is an optimal board for accurate evaluation of the ISL6721/2 devices in different application fields. It is designed to measure the stability of the converter, monitor the output voltage and current, measure the bandwidth of the converter and test different loads. Also, the board is equipped with an external power switch, which can be used to turn the board on or off. Additionally, the board provides protection against overvoltage, overtemperature and over current conditions.
The board is based on Eddy-Current Sensors, which provide accurate measurement of voltage and current levels in the ISL6721/2 families of devices. With the use of this technology, the board can measure the output voltage and current under different load conditions in real-time, which helps to identify possible stability issues. The board is also able to prescribe safety parameters and provides protection against adverse conditions.
