ISL6265HRTZ

The ISL6265HRTZ is an ultra low-voltage, high-efficiency and high-efficiency, synchronous buck regulator that can step down and convert an input voltage up to 4.5V to a regulated output voltage of 0.3V to 1.5V. It integrates both the high side and low side MOSFETs in a 6-pin TSOT-23 package, providing up to 500mA of output current. The device features a standard voltage mode control for easy design, and also includes integrated circuit protection features including over-voltage, under-voltage, overload and short circuit protection. Working Principle

The ISL6265HRTZ combines a high-frequency synchronous buck regulator with both high side and low side MOSFETs in a 6-pin TSOT-23 profile. The internal switching MOSFETs feature an adaptive body diode conduction time (Q diode) that reduces the voltage overshoot that is generated when operating at pocket-sized currents. The built-in synchronous rectifier eliminates the need for an external diode, resulting in higher system efficiency.

The high side and low side MOSFETs are driven with a single high voltage gate driver. The device controls the output voltage by varying the peak current limit and duty cycle of the synchronous switch. It also implements current-mode control for improved dynamic load response. The integrated circuit protection features include over-voltage, under-voltage, overload, and short-circuit protection.

The ISL6265HRTZ allows for easy voltage mode designs with low component counts. The low input and output or ground-referenced output voltage capability make it well suited for powering low voltage components and peripherals.
