The ISL6443AEVAL2Z evaluation board is a DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS specifically designed for testing and evaluating the features of the ISL6443AEEE Multiple-Mode PFC and PWM controller. It enables an engineer to easily observe the startup, transient, and steady state response of the control loop when adjusting the operating parameters of the ISL6443AEE. The input to the ISL6443AEVAL2Z board is a wide range of AC/DC input voltages from 80VAC to 276VAC. It is capable of providing up to 400W of power with a switching frequency of 110 kHz and operates from -40°C up to +125°C. The board can be configured to run in active or standby power factor correction modes (PFC) or pulse width modulation (PWM). The ISL6443AEVAL2Z board incorporates several key components to ensure smooth control loop and operational stability. It also features adjustable output voltage and current sensing capabilities. The board has an adjustable hysteresis threshold of 3V and slew rate of 1.5V/uS. It contains two current sense amplifiers, two voltage sense amplifiers, a low pass filter, and an additional output for monitoring the supply current waveform. The evaluation board also features multi-mode power factor corrector and PWM controller capability, which allows the user to quickly and reliably adjust the operation of the power supply. The controller also has selectable soft-start time and control loop compensation for both modes of operation.
