The ISL6614AIB-T is a four-channel power management integrated circuit (PMIC) designed to drive high-side and low-side field-effect transistors (FETs) in automotive applications. It serves as a bridge between the supply voltage and the FETs, providing a regulated gate drive voltage to each FET that is independent from the power supply voltage and the FETs\' drain-to-sourcevoltage. 

The ISL6614AIB-T belongs to gate drivers as part of the large family of PMICs. Its state-of-the-art protection and diagnostic functionality increase system reliability and reduce the development time of automotive control systems. 
At its core, the ISL6614AIB-T is a dual integrated high-side and low-side FET drivers, each of which can drive two FETs in parallel. 

The input stage is optimised to drive a wide range of logic families with minimal propagation delay. The output stage rapidly drives the FET gate capacitance while dampening the voltage ringing. It uses dynamic shoot-through current control and hysteresis to provide fast dynamic switching of the FETs. This eliminates the need for bulky gate-drive transformers and allows the user to quickly transition from one logic state to another, minimising system losses. It is available in a 5mm×5mm QFN package.
The ISL6614AIB-T has a wide range of applications and is ideal for driving IGBTs in applications such as motor control, on-board chargers, DC/DC converters, and automotive body electronics. It is also suitable for driving power semi-conductors in other applications such as LED lighting, motor drives, solar inverters, and motor controls in household appliances and industrial equipment.

The ISL6614AIB-T works by controlling the current flow through the FETs. When the input to the ISL6614AIB-T is set to LOW, the logic line will be pulled down to GND. This causes the FETs to switch off, preventing current flow. When the input to the ISL6614AIB-T is set to HIGH, the logic line will be pulled-up to VDD, resulting in the FETs switching on, allowing current to flow through them.  The ISL6614AIB-T is designed to drive the FETs quickly and smoothly, allowing for fast switching of the FETs, minimizing system losses and increasing efficiency.
