ISL8104CBZ is an integrated voltage regulator and switching controller designed to drive an external N-Channel MOSFET in power converters and power supplies. The controller is high performance and highly efficient, offering an integrated solution for a wide range of applications including synchronous and non-synchronous buck, buck-boost, and flyback DC-DC converters. The device is also suitable for single-end forward converters, battery chargers, and phase-shifted forward converters. The ISL8104CBZ can be used with a wide range of input and output voltages, making it an ideal solution for the wide stepping range of many applications. The ISL8104CBZ has an integrated voltage regulator and current mode PWM controller for operating with external NMOS and PMOS external transistor sets. It also has an over-voltage protection (OVP) to prevent the drain voltage of the external NMOS transistor set from exceeding an adjustable threshold. The device also features a dedicated sleep mode, which allows the user to place the device in a low-power mode for system power savings. The ISL8104CBZ also has an input voltage range from 8.5V to 18V and an adjustable output voltage range of 0.5V to 5.5V. The device can be used in single-ended applications, with a minimum input voltage of 2V and a maximum of 18V.
