ISL84762IU

The ISL84762IU is a high-performance, low-power analog switch IC composed of two differential two-channel multiplexers, two-channel demultiplexers and two SPDT switches.

This IC is designed for use in either analog or digital multichannel applications. It features a maximum peak-to-peak voltage of up to 20V, and a low distortion of 0.25%. It also has low on-resistance and high off-state isolation, allowing it to be used in a variety of applications.

Working Principle

The ISL84762IU features two independent multiplexers and demultiplexers in a single package. The multiplexer takes multiple input signals and routes them to a single output, while the demultiplexer takes a single input and routes it to multiple outputs. It also has two SPDT switches which can be used for power sequencing and controlling in applications where two or more power sources are common.

The multiplexer and demultiplexer are controlled by three selection bits, allowing it to support up to 8 channels. The SPDT switches are controlled by two logic inputs. The IC also has a ‘SPOT’ output that is set to high when any one of the input signals exceeds the threshold voltage level.

The ISL84762IU is powered by a single +3.3V supply and has excellent thermal performance, making it ideal for demanding applications such as data acquisition systems.
