The device contains two independent MOSFETs, a Logic Input Control pin, and one output terminal. Its single-ended channels offer a maximum on-state resistance of 1.3Ω and a blocking capability of more than 40V. The maximum differential voltage it can withstand is 60V and the maximum transition frequency is 200MHz.

Demultiplexer — The ISL8499IRZ-T can also be employed as a two-channel, logic-controlled demultiplexer. Its maximum on-state resistance is 1.3Ω, the maximum voltage differential is 60V, and the maximum transition frequency is 200MHz. It is ideally suited for use in signal multiplexing and/or demultiplexing tasks in data acquisition systems, signal processing and control systems, and telecom systems.

Working Principle — The ISL8499IRZ-T operates on the principle of charge trapping. When the device is turned on, the two MOSFETs trap an amount of charge, which is used to reduce the on-state resistance of the device. As the MOSFETs remain in the on state, the amount of charge trapped will be larger and correspondingly the on-state resistance is reduced even further. This mechanism allows for low power consumption and fast switching.
