ISPPAC-POWR604-01TN44E is a full featured PMIC (Power Management IC) specifically designed to provide power supply and sequencing control for high frequency digital designs. It contains internal logic to monitor the output of multiple power supplies and to provide logic levels suitable for switching power FETs for different supplies. The ISPPAC-POWR604-01TN44E also contains an integrated RAM buffer and can be programmed to provide sequencing, sequencing control, and sleep modes.The ISPPAC-POWR604-01TN44E is ideal for high speed and high power designs requiring multiple power supplies. It features an integrated regulator and current monitor and offers superior protection against overloads, short circuits, overvoltage and undervoltage. The power supply outputs can be dynamically monitored and controlled to provide optimum power supply operation.In addition to its power supply capabilities, the ISPPAC-POWR604-01TN44E provides an integrated RAM buffer for non-volatile program storage. This means that multiple operating parameters can be stored and recalled from the RAM buffer, such as soft start, scaling, reporting, board detection and reset functionality.The ISPPAC-POWR604-01TN44E utilizes a pulse width modulation (PWM) architecture for PWM switching. The adjustable period, duty cycle and phase angles for each output can be programmed to allow for accommodation of various power supply designs. The PWM switching also allows for improved power efficiency and dynamic current control.The ISPPAC-POWR604-01TN44E is also capable of operating in sleep mode, wherein the regulator is disabled and power is conserved during periods of inactivity. The integrated power on reset function monitors the voltage supply and signals when the system is initialized.The ISPPAC-POWR604-01TN44E is largely utilized in applications that require a range of power supply and sequencing controls, such as those in the automotive and industrial sectors. Its features allow the system to be adapted to fit a wide range of applications, such as high frequency digital designs, audio systems, computer systems, telecommunications, power electronics and automotive electronics.The ISPPAC-POWR604-01TN44E operates to provide two main functions in these applications.
