Working Principle

KBP02M-E4/45 Bridge Rectifiers operate on the principle of rectifying AC power to DC power. This involves utilising the forward biased PN junction of a diode. While the PN junction of a diode allows movement of current in the forward direction, its reverse biased PN junction blocks incoming current from passing through.

Bridge Rectifiers have four diodes arranged in a bridge formation to create a rectified output for the KBP02M-E4/45. This bridge formation will rectify the alternative current (AC) coming in to the bridge rectifier in to direct current (DC). The bridge rectifier is rather simple in construction; the alternative current enters two of the diodes while the other two conduct the alternative current to the load.
