Diodes - Bridge Rectifiers

Working Principle
The working principle of the KBP06M-E4/45 is based on the principle of four diodes connected in a bridge circuit. Each of the four diodes allows the current to flow in only one direction, during its half cycle of operation. During positive half-cycles of the incoming AC, the positive end of the alternating voltage connects to diode A, while the negative end connects to diode B. During negative half-cycles, the opposite occurs; the positive end of the alternating voltage connects to diode C, while the negative end connects to diode D. In this way, a unidirectional flow of current is achieved and the output voltage remains as steady DC.
The KBP06M-E4/45 has a peak forward current rating of 50 amps and a 45-amp max DC current. The maximum reverse voltage is up to 1000 volts and its surge rating is up to 650 volts. The device is designed for use with a maximum temperature of 125˚C, and a storage temperature of -55˚C to +150˚C.
