KLKD004.T is a type of Electrical, Specialty Fuses. It is mainly used in distribution board, circuit panels and the like for the protection of manpower and equipment. It has many advantages such as reliable breaking capacity, long service life, adjustable and replaceable parts, etc.The KLKD004.T has a symmetrical current-limiting, sensitive fuse element which protects low current equipment. The fuse element is composed of a brass cartridge and an epoxy coating. The cartridge is a vacuum-sealed structure which contains two strips of silver alloy. The strips are connected to a pair of spring contacts which are connected to the contact pins of the fuse. The epoxy coating serves as an insulation for the fuse element which prevents short circuits and interruptions.The current-limiting characteristics of the KLKD004.T are determined by its contact pins. The contact pins are designed to allow a gradual increase in the current passing through the circuit before the fuse element trips. The fuse element will trip when the current reaches a predetermined value. The current limitation capability of the fuse element is adjustable by exchanging the contact pins. The current-limiting capability of the fuse element is also determined by its size.The working principle of the KLKD004.T is based on the Joule–Lenz law, which states that the heat generated by electric current is proportional to the square of the current.
