The KSZ8795CLXD-EVAL evaluation and demonstration board and kit is commonly used in communication, automation, and automotive applications. The board combines power efficient dual core ARM9 processor with the logic of a field programmable gate array (FPGA) and memory. It features 256Mbytes DDR3, 64MByte NAND Flash, 64MBit NOR flash, eight NAND flash device interfaces, four Serial EEPROMs, and a range of additional features and expansion buses. It includes a complete board with more than 50 soldered components such as a power supply, LEDs, buttons, PCB layout, and cables. The board has a fully integrated User’s Guide and an Easy to use test and evaluation software.

It enables configurable hardware platforms thus providing effective performance, particularly in applications data processing and data errors. The FPGA architecture moreover provides integration with a large variety of IP cores available for a number of supported application solutions.
The board includes two external DDR3 memory chips for high-speed data processing and cacheable operations. This allows for efficient local data transfer and programming which is necessary for use in industrial grade applications. The DDR3 memory chips provide support for up to eight DMA channels, 32-bit/64-bit addressing, and data rates up to 1066MHz. The board additionally incorporates various other industrial grade interfaces such as dual USB ports, UART, MAC interfaces for the Ethernet, I2C interfaces, and etc.
The board also includes a range of user specific characteristics designed to provide flexibility and reduce time to market. The board allows for customization through firmware, software, or hardware technologies. It offers an intuitive graphical user interface to create, debug, and monitor applications in real time. The board supports the use of the dSPACE tool, which allows designers to test and analyze numerical applications faster than before.
