Working Principle

KXTIA-1006 Digital Motion Sensor utilizes a three-axis MEMS accelerometer, to sense accelerations/decelerations in the x, y, and z directions. It contains three MEMS sensing elements that measure the sensitivity to accelerations in the three orthogonal axes. This sensing element is developed based on the piezo-electric effect and is extremely sensitive to acceleration within the operating range.The acceleration sensing signal is conditioned and digitized in the analog path, and the on-chip signal processor samples and converts the data and compares it with setup thresholds and filters it. Thus, the original analog acceleration signal is conditioned and digitized and the acceleration data can be read out in digital form. The Digitalfilter can also be set to produce low, medium, or high frequencies, allowing for high accuracy filtering for long test periods, even at high sampling rates.
