The NXP L4988D as a voltage regulator, was designed for precision and high stable voltage regulation applications. This linear regulator contains a high-side NMOSFET that pulls the regulated output voltage to a fixed setpoint. Working Principle
The NXP L4988D is a high-side switch, with an internal sense field-effect transistor (FET) to control voltage output. When the voltage on the control pin put greater than a reference voltage, the internal FET is turned on, and the regulated output voltage is generated.
