LD6815TD/33P, 125 Application field and Working PrincipleThe LD6815TD/33P Voltage Regulator is a linear regulator that can be used for various applications. It can provide a stable voltage source when used as a voltage source and it can also serve as a current regulator/limiter. This Voltage Regulator is a 3-terminal device with a built-in reference voltage for different battery packs, synchronous and asynchronous DC-DC converters and other applications.This LD6815TD/33P Voltage Regulator has a low dropout voltage of 1.2V, current limit of 150mA and on-time of approximately 13μs. It has an operating voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V and a maximum output voltage of 3.3V. The temperature range of this Voltage Regulator is -40°C to +125°C. It also has an enable (EN) input and a fixed output voltage trimming range of ± 0.5%. The LD6815TD/33P Voltage Regulator has many advantages over other Voltage Regulators. It does not require external compensation components, it is fast and efficient, it has a low dropout voltage and it is extremely stable. This makes it well suited for use in many applications, such as in battery packs, motor drives, synchronous and asynchronous DC-DC converters, AC/DC converters and other low voltage applications. In addition, this Voltage Regulator can be used in mobile communication applications, power supplies and industrial control systems. The working principle of the LD6815TD/33P Voltage Regulator is based on the comparison of a reference voltage between the internal reference and VREF pin inputs. When the voltage of the input is greater than the reference voltage, the current to the output is limited and the output voltage is regulated to the desired level. This linear regulator has two error amplifiers, one is a 5 mV voltage reference and the other is a 1.2 mV voltage reference. These amplifiers compare the input and reference voltages to control the output current and hence regulate the output voltage. The 1.2 mV reference amplifier is used for low dropout voltages and environmental temperature changes, while the 5 mV amplifier is for fast response and protects against short-term transient events. The LD6815TD/33P Voltage Regulator has low quiescent current and high peak current capability. It can be used in most of the applications that require linear regulation. It is suitable for all types of battery applications, synchronous and asynchronous DC-DC converter, AC/DC converters, power supplies and many other applications.
