LDK130C29R Application Field and Working PrincipleThe LDK130C29R is a high-performance, linear voltage regulator from Linear Technology Corporation. It is a three-terminal integrated circuit (IC) that is capable of providing a very low noise and a very low output impedance over a wide range of frequencies. It is available in 0.3amp (A) and 1.0A versions.The LDK130C29R linear voltage regulator is designed to provide power to a wide range of critical components, such as RF transceivers and converters, in industrial, automotive, IoT, and consumer applications. It is also suitable for wireless communication, battery-operated applications, and any other system requiring low-noise, low-output impedance, low-current regulation.The LDK130C29R voltage regulator has multiple operating modes, including fixed and adjustable outputs, as well as a standby mode. In the fixed output mode, when the VIN pin voltage is applied, the output pin voltage is fixed and the output current remains constant until the voltage on the output pin drops below the preset threshold. In the adjustable output mode, the output pin voltage can be adjusted by varying the voltage on the adjustment (Vadj) pin. In the standby mode, the output pin voltage is maintained until the voltage on the enable (EN) pin is removed, which turns off the output pin voltage.The LDK130C29R linear voltage regulator utilizes a linear regulation system to provide an extremely low output noise and low-output impedance. It employs a proportional-integral (PI) topology structure to allow a very stable and fast transition response. A control loop consisting of an error-amplifier, comparator and current source is used to regulate the output voltage and current, and provide a fast response time.The LDK130C29R also provides several protection features to ensure the safety of the sensitive integrated circuits on the main board. It is compatible with several short circuit protection schemes, such as thermal shutdown, current limit, and soft start.
