The LDK130M28RY utilizes a three-terminal linear voltage regulator principle to provide a stable 3.3V output from an input range of 3.0V to 8.0V. It consists of an error amplifier, a compensation network, a current limit circuit, an under-voltage lockout circuit, an over-temperature protection circuit and a pass transistor.The error amplifier compares the voltage of the output node to the reference voltage and generates an error signal. The compensation network consisting of Resistors and/or Capacitors will then modify the error signal and provide the amplified signal to the pass transistor. The pass transistor then passes the regulated current to the output while current limit circuit prevents the output current from exceeding the specified limit. Under-voltage lockout circuit will detect an input voltage below a certain threshold and will shut the pass transistor off. In addition, the over-temperature protection circuit will shut the pass transistor off when the die temperature exceeds the protection threshold.Conclusion
