PMIC - LED DriversLED7707TR is an integrated power management integrated circuit (PMIC) specifically designed for LED drivers. It is designed to drive up to 30 channels of high-brightness LEDs with dimming control and features high efficiency current regulation, allowing for efficient system power management. This PMIC is well suited for driving multiple high-brightness LEDs for indoor and outdoor lighting applications, such as TV backlighting and decorative lighting.The LED7707TR uses a unique PFM (pulse frequency modulation) control scheme and a programmable driving current of up to 32mA, which allows for greater flexibility in selecting the LED driving current. It also features excellent ripple rejection, fast transient response time and low current consumption, making it well suited for applications requiring high performance and power efficiency. This PMIC also features reverse voltage protection and thermal shut down functionality.The LED7707TR works on a power supply ranging from 9V to 14V and provides LED driving current ranging from 8mA to 32mA with a duty cycle between 4% and 100%. The dimming control can be achieved through a simple PWM signal of 3.3V to 5V logic levels. The LED driving current can be adjusted through an analog voltage ranging from 0V to 4.5V. The PWM frequency can be adjusted from 600Hz up to 1MHz.In addition to the power management features, the LED7707TR also includes built-in fault detection and protection circuitry. The PMIC provides over-temperature protection, undervoltage lock-out protection, LED open and LED short circuit protection, and open LED connection protection. It also includes a charge pump for the enable signal for voltage muting.The LED7707TR is packaged in an 8-pin DIP (dual in-line package) package and is designed for surface mount assembly. It is available as both a standard 8-pin DIP package and a 3mm x 3mm QFN (quad flat no-lead) package.
