Working Principle

The angular velocity channel measures the angular velocity around an axis perpendicular to the device package.The device has a Digital Signal Processor(DSP) that processes data from the three mechanical-electrical channels and provides various parameters including vibration, inclination, shock, and temperature data.The processing chip of the LIS331DL employs signal conditioning algorithms, filtering, and embedded self-test and calibration processes. It provides versatile data output, such as angular velocity, angular acceleration, linear acceleration, as well as compensated temperature range.The device is powered by a standard 3V or 5V high-current power port and its current consumption is very low.
