It is an axial type capacitor that uses a special electrolyte, either wet or dry, to provide the required electrical parameters. The anode is made of the aluminum foil, which is then formed into a ripple shape, then rolled into a cylinder and stuffed with the electrolyte. There is also a combustible separator, which is a thin insulating paper between the anode and cathode.The working principle of the LLS2D681MELZ aluminum electrolytic capacitor is based on the property of electrical double-layer effect at the metal surface, which is caused by the charge separation of the electrolyte ions. When the plates of metal are connected to the two poles of a voltage source, the metal ions in the electrolyte charge and disconnect according to the applied external electric field.There are two types of electrolyte used in the LLS2D681MELZ aluminum electrolytic capacitors: non-polarized electrolyte and polarized electrolyte. The non-polarized electrolyte is a mixture of organic solvents, anolyte and neutral salts, while the polarized electrolyte comprises of a mixture of organic solvents, anolyte, and a strong base such as potassium hydroxide.
