LM2747EVAL is a fully integrated switch-mode power supply(SMPS) evaluation board used for DC/DC & AC/DC applications. It is based on the advanced and reliable LM2747 synchronous step-down controller to reduce complexity and size while providing necessary features for robust operation. The evaluation board is designed to drive an external power MOSFET operating with voltage output range of 0.6V to 10V, and current output range of 0.6A to 10A. The LM2747EVAL includes an external resistor divider for the output voltage feedback, an external compensation hysteretic system, and an overvoltage protection circuit.

The LM2747EVAL provides high efficiency system solutions for DC/DC & AC/DC applications,such as renewable energy, automotive, charger applications, consumer electronics, led drivers, etc. It includes a high-efficiency buck converter, providing up to 95% efficiency with 1.2A of current output and 1-10V adjustable output voltage range. For AC/DC applications, LM2747EVAL provides a simple buck converter solution with integrated active PFC control and primary side feedback for a power factor correction of up to 0.9.The LM2747EVAL design supports a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 18V and supports adjustable output voltage up to 10V with rated current of 10A.

The LM2747EVAL also includes an over temperature protection circuit, which enables the evaluation board to operate safely in high-endurance, high-temperature applications. The evaluation board also includes output voltage error amplifier, which is used to detect, monitor and control the output voltage. An input voltage disconnect detector is used for input detection, which triggers the protection circuit in case of a short circuit at the input. In addition, the LM2747EVAL includes two high-side switches for output power protection, and two low-side switches for efficient overcurrent protection.

The LM2747EVAL also provides efficient synchronous rectification control and integrated driver circuits for optimized efficiency and power conversion. It provides multiple features built-in, such as low on resistance and power loss, high efficiency, lowest Saturation Voltage, wide operating temperature range and EMI reduction techniques.The LM2747EVAL also includes a thermal shutdown circuit and an overvoltage protection circuit.

The LM2747EVAL is based on the LM2747 synchronous step-down controller, which is a versatile, high-performance, high-efficiency, and low-cost DC/DC converter with a wide input voltage range of 0.9V to 32V, and an adjustable output voltage range of 0.6V to 10V. The LM2747 provides an integrated frequency control scheme with programmable switching frequencies, adjustable ramp current and a built-in emitter-follower output driver. The controller is capable of up to 95% efficiency and supports up to 10A of output current with adjustable output voltage range. The LM2747 also includes an integrated overvoltage protection circuit, overcurrent protection, adjustable offset voltage control and frequency modulation.

The LM2747EVAL evaluation board is designed to demonstrate the LM2747 synchronous step-down controller in DC/DC & AC/DC SMPS applications. The evaluation board is designed to drive an external power MOSFET & other power components.
