As the current through the power switch increases, energy is stored in the inductor’s magnetic field. When the current through the power switch reaches a certain level, the controller turns off the power switch, allowing the current in the inductor to flow out of the inductor and charge the output capacitor. This cycle is repeated until the voltage on the output side reaches the desired level.The output voltage of the LM2825N-3.3/NOPB is adjustable through an external resistor divider. The output voltage can be set at any multiple of the 0.63 V reference voltage, meaning that it can be adjusted to provide voltage ranges of 3.3 V, 3.6 V, 3.9 V and so on. The frequency of the switching regulator can also be adjusted by connecting an external capacitor to the CF pin.
