The LM2832ZSD EVAL is a high performance, highly integrated, synchronous feedback DC/DC buck controller evaluation board designed to synchronize the switching frequency to an external clock, enabling the designing and testing of devices with high power density and exceptional efficiency in a cost effective package. The LM2832ZSD EVAL is a standalone evaluation board with an onboard input and output filter, making it suitable for multiple power delivery applications.
LM2832ZSD EVAL\'s application field includes electronics, telecommunications, portable medical electronics, servers, computer peripherals, automotive and industrial applications. It is designed to provide 10A output current, and it features a programmable frequency range from 200 kHz to 1.5MHz and step-down switching frequency up to 200 kHz.
The LM2832ZSD EVAL board combines a Pb-free, cascode switching MOSFET, a wide input range DC/DC buck converter,voltage feedback and current feedback for improved stability, and programmable switching frequency. The built-in fast transient response provides for high precision and low current ripple. The LM2832ZSD EVAL\'s efficiency reaches up to 95%.
The LM2832ZSD EVAL uses a synchronous feedback mechanism for control. This provides fast transient response and high output accuracy. The LM2832ZSD EVAL feedback loop contains an internal voltage reference (VR), which determines the output voltage when the external clock is synchronized. The external clock input also provides a synchronization signal for optimal use of the switching frequency. The synchronous feedback also ensures that the current feedback control has improved stability, resulting in improved load regulations.
