LM2854-1000EVAL is an evaluation board that combines off-line AC/DC and DC/DC switching power supplies with a wide range of applications. It has been designed to provide customers with an evaluation platform to demonstrate and test the performance of the LM2854-1000 switching power supply device. The board is also easy to use and can be used in a variety of applications, including those of industrial and medical equipment, industrial instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.The LM2854-1000EVAL evaluation board consists of an open-frame power supply, DC/DC converter, AC/DC converter, isolation transformer, switching regulator, and regulator integrated circuit. It includes a universal AC input which enables it to be used in a wide range of voltage and frequency ranges. The board has a low-cost form factor and can operate over a wide ambient temperature range (-40°C to +85°C). The integrated electronics provide protection and monitoring functions for the board such as over-temperature, over-voltage, over-current, and under-voltage protection.The LM2854-1000EVAL board utilizes an integrated switching regulator with advanced features such as power-up sequencing, current-mode control, programmable switching frequency between 100kHz and 1MHz, and selectable soft-start slew rate. This setup is efficient and cost-effective, allowing you to design power supplies that support a variety of applications. The board also includes a wide-ranging high-voltage supply to power external components, such as opto-couplers, LED’s, MOSFET’s, transistors, and other components. Additionally, the board has two onboard diagnostic LEDs that are used to indicate the status of the regulator, supply voltage, and overload.The LM2854-1000EVAL evaluation board has been designed to make designing applications using the LM2854-1000 switching power supply easier. The board can be easily integrated into existing systems as a stand-alone power source or it can be used as an alternative to integrated AC/DC switching supplies. Additionally, the board can be used as an alternative to conventional transformers and low-power switching regulators. In addition, the board can be used as an alternative to linear regulators for low-power applications.The LM2854-1000EVAL evaluation board supports a wide variety of applications, including industrial and medical equipment, industrial instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
