The LM3150-250EVAL/NOPB evaluation board is specifically designed for Designers looking to evaluate the features of Linear Technology’s family of monolithic high step-up voltage converters. This evaluation board assists Designers in quickly evaluating the performance of products such as the LT3788, LT3790, LT3792, and LT3793 monolithic high step-up voltage converters in a DC/DC or AC/DC (off-line) SMPS application.
The LM3150-250EVAL/NOPB evaluation board has five main components — the switch-mode regulator, the control electronics, the input and output power circuits, the filter circuit and the input voltage sensing circuit. The switch-mode regulator consists of a power switch, an inductor, a voltage regulator and an MOSFET protection. The control electronics section consists of an LM3150 voltage converter IC, an internal oscillator and an error amplifier. The input and output power circuits are used to deliver power to the circuit and provide a mechanism for managing the power. The filter circuit helps reduce EMI and the input voltage sensing circuit is used to monitor the input voltage and adjust the output accordingly.
The LM3150-250EVAL/NOPB evaluation board works by utilizing the unique features of the LM3150 monolithic high step-up voltage converter. The LM3150 is a highly efficient, configurable voltage regulator that provides an adjustable output voltage up to 250V.
