The LM3410YQMFX/NOPB, classified under PMIC – LED Drivers, is a high-efficiency, constant-current LED driver. In addition, the LM3410YQMFX/NOPB has the capability to provide up to 150 mA of LED current with 0.1 percent LED current matching. The LM3410YQMFX/NOPB requires up to 18 V of supply voltage and draws a low quiescent current of just 3 μA when operating in constant-current mode. It can control up to 5 LEDs with 500 mV thermal and 150 mA output current accuracy of ±1 percent over the -40 to +125 degree Celsius temperature range and features auto-shutdown mode for enhanced system reliability.

The LM3410YQMFX/NOPB has an external resistor option for flexibility and integrates two 100 mΩ current sense resistors which sense the load current, reduce power losses, and help achieve precise current matching. A programmable-by-resistor soft-start function is also integrated within the LM3410YQMFX/NOPB, which allows the user to reduce inrush surge current and optimize the application’s start-up time and/or current stability. When used with a 0.8 V voltage reference, the LM3410YQMFX/NOPB achieves a 0.2 percent accuracy of the reference voltage.

The LM3410YQMFX/NOPB has an internal voltage converter which converts the input voltage to the level required by the LED, achieving an efficiency of up to 95 percent. It also has internal thermal shutdown circuitry and over-temperature protection feature to protect the device and the LED during extended operation.

The LM3410YQMFX/NOPB also includes an adjustable pulse width modulation (PWM) option to allow brightness control of the LED output. This LED driver operates from -40 to +125 degree Celsius, providing a stable performance over the full operating temperature range. With this LED driver, multiple channels can be paralleled for improved LED current output and flexibility. Additionally, the LM3410YQMFX/NOPB can be paralleled with other devices to support high-power LED applications.
