The LM53635LQRNLTQ1 is a small, low quiescent current synchronous Buck Converter that operates from a 2.2V to 5.5V supply voltage and offers regulated output voltage down to 0.8V at up to 1.5A of output current. This DC-DC regulator provides excellent transient response and enables low noise switching frequency of up to 1MHz or external synchronization mode. With its integrated soft-start function, output voltage slew rate is limited, and the device operates over a wide temperature range. The LM53635LQRNLTQ1 belongs to the family of DC-DC switching regulators and requires only four external components in the application circuit. Transistor-level models have been developed to simulate the behaviour of the LM53635LQRNLTQ1, thus enabling fast and reliable system designs.
Application Field

Working Principle
The LM53635LQRNLTQ1 operates as a synchronous Buck Converter. This means that the switching frequency will be synchronized to the applied voltage. The voltage is regulated by a constant on-time control, which runs the internal Power MOSFET switches directly from its output. This constant on-time control provides fast transient response, low output voltage (down to 0.8V) and low ripple. The internal compensation of the device ensures that the overshoot and undershoot of the output is minimized. A soft-start function sets the output voltage step-by-step, which reduces the inrush current on start-up.
The LM53635LQRNLTQ1 also features a shutdown mode, which disconnects the switching circuitry from the output and reduces the quiescent current to 20µA. In addition, The LM53635LQRNLTQ1 devices also provide an enable trigger with a logic threshold of 1.25V. Furthermore, the frequency can be reduced by a factor of four by applying an External Clock signal.
