The LM536003QDSXTQ1 is a buck converter that provides conformal coated, 3-A integrated synchronous Buck switch mode power supply (SMPS). LM536003QDSXTQ1 is a PWM-based synchronous buck converter, where a PWM signal is generated from the CPLD (Complex Programmable Logic Device) to control the ON/OFF pattern of the internal FET switches. When the PWM waveform is at High, the FET switch (SW1) is activated and the input voltage source is connected to the inductor, while the other FET switch (SW2) remains off. Then, during the ‘OFF’ time, the energy stored in the inductor is transferred to the output of the converter and stored in the output capacitor until the next ‘ON’ time. The energy stored in the output capacitor supplies the output load which can be adjusted by changing the duty cycle of the signal applied to the gate of SW2.

The patented, high-fault-tolerance architecture is strong and reliable and enables the device to operate with input voltage from 3.5 to 28V, and output voltage from 0.6V to16V.
