The platform features the LM74670 chip in a 14-pin, closed-loop version that utilizes digitally controllable parameters. A single-phase power supply supplies energy for the stepdown regulator and a graphical LCD displays user interface messages. The GUI (graphical user interface) provides a simple and intuitive interface for configuring and obtaining results from the test platform. In addition, the board supports the MAXQ1013 and MAXQ1015 controllers from Maxim Integrated. The LM74670-SQEVM supports an array of flexible mechanism and tools to test the performance, accuracy, and durability of the stepdown regulator. It features digital control of various PWM/PFM combinations, an integrated Bluetooth communications unit for remote access, and various other feature sets for optimizing the chip performance. Comprehensive analog and digital measurements are supported, including voltage, current, and power. Real-time analytics and in-depth data logging are also supported. Moreover, active impedance monitoring and transient analysis allow engineers to identify operational issues and optimize designs in a timely manner.In addition to testing, the LM74670-SQEVM platform provides various tools for demonstrating the device’s operation.
