The platform features the LM74670 chip in a 14-pin, closed-loop version that utilizes digitally controllable parameters. A single-phase power supply supplies energy for the stepdown regulator and a graphical LCD displays user interface messages. The GUI (graphical user interface) provides a simple and intuitive interface for configuring and obtaining results from the test platform. In addition, the board supports the MAXQ1013 and MAXQ1015 controllers from Maxim Integrated. The LM74670-SQEVM supports an array of flexible mechanism and tools to test the performance, accuracy, and durability of the stepdown regulator. It features digital control of various PWM/PFM combinations, an integrated Bluetooth communications unit for remote access, and various other feature sets for optimizing the chip performance.
