Fault detected output and Power Good output.The working principle of the LMR14206xMK/NOPB is quite basic – it is a synchronous step-down switching regulator which uses two transistors (an n-channel MOSFET as the high-side switch, and a p-channel as the low-side switch) to convert a higher input voltage to a lower output voltage. As the input voltage increases, the high-side switch turns on and the low-side switch turns off. This creates a voltage drop across the pair of MOSFETs, resulting in the output voltage being decreased.The LMR14206xMK/NOPB has two inputs – an enable (EN) and a clock (CLK) – that control the operation of the device. An external clock is required to drive the switching frequency of the high-side and low-side switches, and the rising edge of CLK enables the both switches. An internal circuit senses the output voltage of the converter and compensates the duty cycle to adjust the output voltage. This allows the device to maintain a constant output voltage over a wide input voltage and load range.Due to its wide output voltage range, high efficiency, and small form factor, the LMR14206xMK/NOPB is suitable for use in many power supply applications, including notebook PCs, game consoles, and embedded systems.
