LMR16010PEVM application field and working principle is a type of Evaluation Boards - DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS. It offers a range of wide input voltage applications such as ATX, SFX, OBM etc. It is suitable for power applications that requires high efficiency over a wide input voltage.The LMR16010PEVM is a synchronous two-level, four-switch green-mode PFC and non-isolated buck flyback converter. It can operate in buck, bose, buck-boost, and flyback topologies. It comes with an onboard micro-controller which offers the flexibility to make various configurations with ease.The main purpose of the LMR16010PEVM is to convert an AC input power to a DC output power with high efficiency and low-cost. The LMR16010PEVM has an onboard analog IC, NCP1402 which provides the control signals to the power MOSFET switches. The NCP1402 provides an integrated PFC control loop, a voltage loop, and a current loop. This integrated control system ensures that the LMR16010PEVM switch performs efficiently and accurately to meet the desired output power.The switch has an adjustable threshold of phase-current. When the AC input voltage exceeds this phase-current threshold, the on-board NCP1402 switches ON the power MOSFET to reduce the input current level to prevent overloading the power supply. This architecture helps to reduce the power supply losses during normal operation and helps to reduce the power bill.The major component of the LMR16010PEVM is the power stage, which consists of four power MOSFETs. These power MOSFETs will switch ON and OFF alternately, and the switching frequency of the MOSFETs can be varied. The power stage also has a bootstrap circuit, which ensures that during start-up mode, the power MOSFET functions properly. During start-up, the voltage across the power MOSFET will increase gradually, and when the voltage reaches the threshold level, the power MOSFET will be switched OFF and the main input supply to the power stage will be cut off.The LMR16010PEVM is capable of working at high temperature, and the power MOSFETs are protected from over-voltage and over-current conditions. This innovative design offers the user with an attractive operational advantage over other standard power supplies.The LMR16010PEVM is designed to meet the reliability and efficiency requirements for ATX, SFX, and OBM power supplies which need multiple output voltages and high efficiency. It offers the user multiple configuration options including full-load, light-load, low-power standby, high power surge, and current limiting. The user is provided with a graphical user interface (GUI) to configure the power supply and to monitor its operation in an intuitive way. This provides the user with greater flexibility in configuring the power supply for their specific needs.The LMR16010PEVM provides a cost effective solution for applications which require high-efficiency, low-cost, and reliable operation. It offers a wide range of features and flexibility to meet the needs of the user. It is highly suitable for applications in industrial, medical, home, office, and automotive.
