The LMX2470EVAL board provides engineers with a comprehensive chips evaluation platform to help them assess the performance of the LMX2470 device. This processor is a multi-channel programmable low-power switching regulator solution that provides features allowing designers to dynamically alter programming to adapt to changing conditions. This evaluation board provides users with the necessary on-board power switches, and voltage regulators required for the operation of the LMX2470 device.
The LMX2470EVAL board utilizes the LMX2470 device for overall power management and control. This processor offers a 32-bit RISC architecture and delivers exceptionally low power consumption in a low-footprint package. The LMX2470 device allows designers to separate power regulation into multiple domains, each with unique requirements, and maintains tight voltage regulation over time and load transients. Additionally, the device can take up to twelve external PWM input signals to adjust various parameters in response to disturbance events. The LMX2470EVAL board provides users with all the necessary components for the evaluation and demonstration of the LMX2470 device. This board includes five digital input channels connected to dedicated LEDs, as well as two external digital inputs and two external analog inputs. It also includes on-board voltage regulators for the supply of both VDD and VDDIO, along with several onboard cabling options for connecting the evaluation board to the target board. Additionally, the board contains comprehensive power regulation and fault monitoring circuitry. This evaluation board also includes an on-board USB-to-RS232 converter, as well as software drivers to quickly configure the evaluation board and get the user up and running in time.
The LMX2470EVAL kit also includes several on-board devices to enable its powerful functions. These devices include a multichannel ADCs and DACs for analog signal acquisition, and dual high-current power switches for dynamic voltage regulation. The board also includes four on-board DC/DC converters and an on-board power switch to adjust and monitor the voltage supply to a variety of loads. Additionally, the board includes an external CLKOUT signal to automatically adjust the system clock, and multiple programmable GPIOs for signal monitoring and control.
