The LMX2531LQX2080E/NOPB is a highly integrated and powerful clock and frequency synthesizer device from Texas Instruments suitable for a wide range of applications in clock and timing solutions. It contains a low-noise, wide-range, fractional-N phase-locked loop (PLL) that operates from a single oscillator of base crystal, multiple reference clock and clock inputs. The PLL supports jitter reduction combined with very low-noise low-phase noise dielectric resonator oscillators (DROs) and includes an integrated voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) and four independent output channels. This device is designed to precisely maintain and track multiple output frequencies, including high-performance systems that require fast switching, effective clocking and jitter reduction.

The device is suitable for various applications, such as networking, broadcasting, and telecommunications, where it can be used as a base-station reference oscillator, DRO oscillator/synthesizer, or as a high-performance clock multiplier or divider.

The LMX2531LQX2080E/NOPB\'s PLL architecture comprises multiple loop filters and reference clock frequency dividers to generate a sigma-delta output, typically from a 10 MHz to 20 MHz crystal oscillator. This architecture supports the generation of high-performance PLL output frequencies up to 500MHz, with excellent stability and low-jitter performance even for low-flexibility applications. The PLL contains an integrated VCO and four independent output channels, each with one input reference and one output reference, which can be switched quickly between a fixed reference and an additional reference clock.
