The LMX2594RHAT is a quad-channel, general-purpose frequency synthesizer that provides fast frequency-hopping capabilities and a wide range of fractional-N frequency synthesis based on various applications. This device is tailored for a variety of applications, such as cellular infrastructure and base station applications, industrial IoT, automotive, test and measurement and radio frequency (RF) systems. It provides a compact, easy to use solution for flexible clock synthesis, including the SAW and the spurious-free phase-locked loop (PLL) functions.
The device offers a variety of frequency synthesis options, allowing quick and easy design, with four channels of independent phase-locked loop (PLL) and programmable mixing products and frequencies. It supports any architectures that require multiple outputs with multiple programmable frequencies with low phase noise and low jitter. The LMX2594RHAT features high-resolution, fine-tune operation, based on a wideband synthesizer with a frequency resolution of 0.001 MHz.
The device offers both in-phase/quadrature (I/Q) modulation and fractional-N PLL techniques. It allows us to generate multiple programmable output frequencies from the same PLL, varying the output frequencies from 1 MHz to 830 MHz. With the I/Q modulation, users can generate phase-shifted signals and complex waveforms, allowing for a wide range of applications. Additionally, the LMX2594RHAT also offers two independent phase-locked loop (PLL) chips, each with its own integrated phase/frequency detector (PFD). A wide variety of modulation choices and dynamic frequency control is available through VCO, PLL divider, pre-divider, and PFD control functions.
The device offers flexible control, allowing users to modify the frequency and phase of their desired output with high resolution.
