An aluminum electrolytic capacitor is a components which uses an electrolyte to form an electric double layer on the anode plates of its sealing can and uses the surface of its aluminum foil as the capacitance of the capacitor. The aluminum electrolytic capacitor uses aluminum foil as the anode material of the electrolytic capacitor. The number of layers of oxide film gradually formed on the anode surface (anode oxide film) is used as the dielectric layer of the capacitor, and the saturated electrolyte is used as a conductor that guides the electric energy between the two electrodes.

2. Working Principle

The working principle of the LNT2D102MSEN aluminum electrolytic capacitor is based on the principle of electrochemical capacitance. The capacitor consists of two electrodes, the anode and cathode, both placed in an electrolyte solution. A potential difference is applied between the anode and cathode, causing electrons to flow from one electrode to the other. The anode is composed of an aluminum alloy and is covered with an oxide film (dielectric layer). The cathode is composed of a conductive material. When voltage is applied to the capacitor, positive ions migrate to the negative surface, while negative ions migrate to the positive surface, thus forming an electric double layer (EDL) near the metal surface.

The capacitance of the LNT2D102MSEN aluminum electrolytic capacitor is also related to the surface area of the anode and dielectric, the distance between the electrodes and the dielectric layer, and the permittivity of the dielectric.
