Working Principle of LNT2G472MSEG

When an electric field is applied to an aluminium oxide film formed on an anode foil, a reverse bias voltage is applied to the oxide film. This voltage separates the positive and negative charges in the oxide film and creates an electric field in the counter direction of the electric field of the anode foil. Thus, the oxide film is polarized, and the electric field in this oxide film generates a built-in electric field across the oxide film, which is the capacitive function of the electrolyte capacitor. Due to the presence of electrolyte, when the above-mentioned electric field is applied, the positive charges on the surface of the anode move and penetrate into the oxide film to the cathode, forming a space charge layer, thus forming a static capacitance.

In practical applications, the anode foil of the electrolytic capacitor has been anodized to form an oxide film that is surrounded by an anode electrolyte solution. When a voltage is applied to the capacitor, the electrolyte will penetrate into the oxide film, thus forming a space charge layer between the anode and the cathode. The thicker the space charge layer is, the greater the capacitance of the electrolytic capacitor is. The working principle of the electrolytic capacitor is to convert the static electricity signal of the capacitor surface into dynamic, which is the charging and discharging effect of the capacitor.
