Working PrincipleThe design of the aluminum electrolytic capacitors LNY2W102MSEFBN consists of two aluminum foils and an electrolyte-saturated paper separator. The positive aluminum electrode plate is anodized to create an electrolytic oxide layer that behaves as the dielectric material. The both sides of the plate are coated with aluminum foil. The cathodic aluminum foil forms the cathode and has a higher electrical potential than the anode. An electric current is applied between the two plates, and the anodic oxide layer accumulates charges of opposite polarity to the plates. The electrolyte, which is usually composed of a mixture of organic solvents and additives, is soaked with non-woven paper separators and acts as the ionic conductor between cathode and anode electrodes. The presence of the electrolyte permits the movement of anions between the two plates, and this creates the electrostatic force that forms the electric field between the two plates. The electrostatic charge accumulates until it equals the applied voltage, and this forms the capacitance.
