LP2981IBPX-3.2 is a low-power, low-dropout linear voltage regulator with a wide input voltage range. It is designed to provide a regulated output voltage over a wide range of input voltages and to provide superior performance in extreme temperature ranges. The best performance is obtained when the output voltage is greater than the input voltage/2.
LP2981IBPX-3.2 has been optimised for operation in a wide variety of demanding Video, Industrial, and Automotive applications. It is a high-performance voltage regulator with features such as low dropout voltage, high power supply rejection ratio (PSRR), low variation in load regulation and Thermal Use Model, low quiescent current, and superior line and load transient response.
The LP2981IBPX-3.2 is particularly suited for automotive, industrial, and video applications where high efficiency and high power reliability are essential. The high-performance linear regulator of LP2981IBPX-3.2 is capable of delivering up to 500 mA of continuous current while maintaining very low dropout voltage.
The LP2981IBPX-3.2 is available in an 8-pin SOIC package and requires an input voltage of 2.7V to 44V to regulate output voltages ranging from 0.8V to 3.3V. The device has a preset output voltage that is trimmed to an accuracy of ±2%. It is specified to operate over the extended temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. It is also rated for operation in harsh automotive environments.
The LP2981IBPX-3.2 is a standard 3-terminal negative linear voltage regulator with a fixed output voltage.
