Functionality

The three terminals of the LP2985A-28DBVRG4 are IN, OUT and ADJ (Adjust). In theShutdown Mode, the IC stops providing output current and will enter into a complete shutdown state, reducing the total power consumption of the circuit.In addition, the device also includes a reverse current protection circuit which prevents current from flowing backwards from the output to the input when the output voltage is higher than the input voltage, essentially protecting both the IC and the device it is powering.
