The LP3971SQ-W416/NOPB features an integrated wide range high frequency synchronous converters that operates in buck or boost topology mode. In buck operation, the device supports a wide input voltage range (2V to 5.5V) with an adjustable output voltage up to 3.3V. In boost operation, the device supports a wide input voltage range (2V to 5.5V) with an adjustable output voltage up to 5V.
The device utilizes a high frequency charge-pump architecture that provides excellent power conversion efficiency. The LP3971SQ-W416/NOPB supports ultra-low noise operation, with a power supply noise of less than 30 μVRMS, due to its patented spike noise suppression technology. In addition, the device features built-in sequencing and hot-plug monitoring, programmable current limit, adjustable soft-start time, as well as integrated over-current, thermal and short-circuit protections.
