LP8340CLDX-2.5/NOPB is a series of low-noise, low-dropout, low-input voltage linear regulators. It offers precision voltage regulation with a stable output voltage to within ±1.5%. Under light load, these devices can provide full-load accuracy with ultra-low output noise. This integrated circuit can be programmed up to 3A output current and operated over the -40°C to 125°C temperature range. With wide voltage range and various current ratings, LP8340CLDX-2.5/NOPB can be used in a variety of applications, including consumer and automotive electronics, audio/video and instrumentation.
LP8340CLDX-2.5/NOPB usually works in either a linear or a switching mode. In linear mode, it acts as a voltage regulator and functions to regulate the output voltage by providing an adjustment path for the output current. In switching mode, it is used to convert and adjust the input power to the output voltage required by the load. Both linear and switching modes have the advantage of providing adjustable output voltages.
