LP8340ILDX-2.5 (Low Density Multi-Output LDOs) is a low-density linear voltage regulator for high-frequency switching applications with a wide range of voltage outputs. This low-profile, adjustable LDO is an ideal solution for applications where low power consumption, high efficiency, and high switching frequency are critical.
LP8340ILDX-2.5 provides high output current support, low noise and high reliability to applications such as two-phase power solutions, power management integrated circuits (PMICs), memory modules, low-power computing, and data converters. It features built-in protection features, adjustable and fixed output voltages, and is programmable with a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) signal. The device also includes a power-good indicator, so designers can monitor the output voltage and quickly detect any power disturbances or issues.
LP8340ILDX-2.5 operates primarily as a linear voltage regulator in order to provide regulation of the output voltage. It has two input and two output terminals, one of which provides the regulated output voltage of the device. The other output is an open circuit, which is used to either connect the output to another device or act as a feedback voltage to other parts of the circuit. By providing matched output and feedback voltages, the LP8340ILDX-2.5 can maintain a constant voltage across its output and feedback terminals.
