<p>LP87524Q1EVM is an evaluation board designed to provide a measuring point and thermal data to assess the performance of Texas Instrument\'s LP87524Q1 power stage in DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS applications. This evaluation board provides a suitable evaluation platform that can easily be incorporated into a development system to evaluate the performance of the LP87524Q1.</p><p>The LP87524Q1EVM features two 32-pin connectors, J2 and J3, for a DC power supply input. It is powered by both a 5 VDC from the ATX power supply and AC voltage source. The input voltage can range from 92VAC to 265VAC in order to provide a safe AC voltage that can be used to evaluate the LP87524Q1. Additionally, the input voltage of the LP87524Q1EVM can be adjusted between 3.3 V to 5 VDC in order to assess the performance of the LP87524Q1 within its specified operating voltage range.</p><p>LP87524Q1EVM also includes a heat sink and cooling fan to provide adequate cooling for the power stage device. The evaluation board also provides a single 16-pin output connector, which is designed to provide the output voltage and current data needed to evaluate the LP87524Q1. Finally, the evaluation board includes a set of evaluation switches to provide the programming capability that allows the user to program various configurations for certain device specifications which can be used to evaluate the performance of the LP87524Q1.</p><p>Lastly, the LP87524Q1EVM consists of a built-in oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer that can be used to accurately measure the output voltage and current values in order to determine the performance of the LP87524Q1 in DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS applications. </p><p>The working principle of the LP87524Q1 is to convert alternating current (AC) input voltage into a direct current (DC) output voltage. In order to achieve this, a three-step conversion is carried out. Firstly, the AC input voltage is rectified, which means it is converted to a unidirectional current. Secondly, the rectified voltage is filtered to remove any high frequency components. Finally, the output voltage is regulated using integrated components to provide the desired output voltage.</p><p>The LP87524Q1EVM is designed to measure and evaluate the performance of the LP87524Q1 in DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS applications. It is equipped with a heat sink and cooling fan, two 32-pin connectors for a DC power supply input, and a single 16-pin output connector to provide accurate output voltage and current data.
