Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

Aluminum electrolytic capacitors (also known as aluminum electrolyte capacitors, or electrolytic capacitors) are a type of capacitor that uses an electrolyte solution to store electrical charge. It has a greater capacitance per unit volume than any other type of fixed capacitor. This type of capacitor is widely used in electronics equipment due to its high energy density, low cost, and small physical size.
