Working Principle

The LS1046ARDB-PB evaluation board is designed around the Freescale/NXP LS1046A SoC processor, a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 with two ARM Cortex-A72 cores. The SoC runs at speeds of up to 1.5 GHz. This processor runs at very low power consumption, maximizing system performance and efficiency.The LS1046ARDB-PB features a DDR3 memory controller to support high-speed DDR3 data transfer rates up to 1600Mbps. This board is also equipped with a NAND Flash memory controller, enabling quick access to NAND Flash data.The board also features a PCIe bridge taking care of communication between the PCIe devices and the SoC. This bridge provides high-speed data transfer and low latency between the devices and the processor. The board also provides two Ethernet interfaces to provide 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet connectivity. The board also supports Serial RapidIO for applications requiring faster data transfers. This allows the board to reach the maximum throughputs of up to 2.0Gbps.
