The LT1510-5CGN#TRPBF allows system designers to quickly design battery charging and power management solutions for a variety of portable electronics product designs. Its feature set enables small and efficient power solutions with the lowest possible noise and power dissipation. It includes a highly efficient step‐down regulator, a linear charge regulator, two charge current sense paths, dynamic voltage scaling, and robust input/output short‐circuit protection. All of these features are stacked on a small footprint 5mm × 7mm package.
The LT1510-5CGN#TRPBF also features strong protection features for the battery. Its charge termination algorithm uses both a safety timer and temperature sensing to end the charge cycle. Under‐voltage lockout protects the battery from deep discharge when the battery voltage is too low, and over‐temperature protection shuts off the charging circuit when the die temperature exceeds a predetermined limit. Additionally, the LT1510-5CGN#TRPBF features input voltage surge protection, cell reverse polarity protection, and unique reverse condensation prevention (RCP) automatic cell refresh. All these features work together to operate safely and effectively in any battery charging application.
Furthermore, the LT1510-5CGN#TRPBF contains additional features that are essential for battery charging applications.
