LT3992EUH#PBF is a monolithic, low quiescent current, synchronous buck switch regulator, targeting industrial and communications applications such as voltage regulators for motor and motor control. It features a wide input voltage range from 2.25 V to 60 V, operating in either Step-down, Step-up and Buck-Boost modes. The regulator is in compliance with the Digital LoadlineTM technology, ensuring proper peak output voltage and validating proper voltage loading. It provides multiple protection features including cycle-by-cycle current limiting and thermal shutdown.

The internal switch can support up to 5 V output voltage in Step-up, Step-down and Buck-Boost modes. It has higher continuous output current capability, up to 1.2 A and has unique output disconnect and “Power Good” features which detect output voltage over and under-voltages.

The device is ideal for supplies with high peak-to-peak voltage transients, such as automotive and battery supplies. In addition, the LT3992EUH#PBF can operate from an unregulated or step-down buck converter, providing an easy way to establish a superior voltage regulation for motor drive applications.

The LT3992EUH#PBF uses an advanced synchronous current-mode control structure to ensure stable operation even with sudden load changes. It provides low output voltage transient in order to meet most modern voltage regulator requirements. The LT3992EUH#PBF also uses a fractional-N architecture to reduce output ripple voltage.

The device is easy to use, and provides a single resistor divider and single capacitor loop compensation, making it suitable for regulating and controlling the output voltage precisely.
