The LT3999EDD#TRPBF is a high frequency synchronous buck switching voltage regulator, which was first released to the market by Linear Technology in 2015. The regulator consists of a temperature compensated reference and an error amplifier, operating at up to 1.2MHz, feedback comparator, and current limit circuitry, packaged in a tiny 3-by-3 mm package. By changing the two external resistors, the output voltage range can be adjusted from 0.8V to 6V, and its output current can be set up to 5A.The LT3999EDD#TRPBF switching regulator provides efficient and reliable voltage conversion from a single-input source to an adjustable output voltage. It is a synchronous buck regulator that consists of a main power switch, an internal compensation network and a low-side switch for efficient operation. The buck regulator uses P-channel and N-channel MOSFETs for internal switching, to achieve a high efficiency transfer from input to output. The internal synchronous rectifier allows for a high frequency operation with a low RDS(on) while switching at a pre-determined frequency. The output voltage is adjustable by setting two resistors, one connected to the FB pin connected to the Error Amplifier and the second connected to VSET pin connected to the ground.The LT3999EDD#TRPBF provides an output active high synchronization pin that allows the user to synchronize two or more voltage regulators in a master-slave configuration.
